Maria is a partner at STARKS. She specialises in the various fields of intellectual property law, such as trademarks, industrial designs, copyright, patents, licensing, as well as in diverse aspects of art law.

She has started her legal career in Latvia in 2004 and since then has been advising clients in complex intellectual property and art-related matters, dealing with filings, drafting various agreements, handling negotiations, and acting as a mediator in disputes. As an MBA qualified consultant Maria has also been advising clients on IP portfolio management, IP strategy, and its alignment with business goals; efficiently navigating legal complexities while focusing on delivering down-to-earth solutions to clients.
